Developing well-rounded children involves allowing for opportunities where they can learn more about themselves and their community, broadening their worldview. Participating in clubs can give them a chance to discover, highlight, and excel at their strengths.

    Code of Conduct

    Welcome to Vernon Elementary School athletics! We are excited that you have chosen to be a part of our team!

    As a member of Husky sports, there is a Code of Conduct that every team member is expected to follow. 

    Our code outlines the importance of good sportsmanship. We also place a high value on academics. This means showing respect to teachers, and submitting your assignments on time. 

    Please read the following expectations, and if you agree to them, sign your name at the bottom of the page. Your parent/guardian is also required to sign. 

    Respect: Huskies treat teammates, opponents, coaches, officials, and spectators with respect, whether on or off the field/court. This also means coming to every practice, and giving your best effort to your teammates and coaches. 

    Sportsmanship: Huskies play by the rules and uphold the rules of fair competition. We have good sportsmanship whether we win or lose. Huskies maintain a positive attitude, even in challenging situations. We show determination, and sportsmanship at all times. 

    Safety: Huskies prioritize the safety and well-being of yourself and others. We follow all safety guidelines and report injuries or concerns to a coach or supervisor immediately.

    Responsibility: Huskies are responsible for their actions on and off the field. Huskies balance sports commitments with academic responsibilities. You must prioritize your studies and maintain good academic standing to be eligible to play. Huskies come to practice and games on time. We notify coaches if we are unable to attend. We treat sports equipment with respect, and use it properly.
