Website Accessibility

Vernon Elementary School District #9 is committed to ensuring accessibility of its website for students, parents, and members of the community with disabilities so that these constituents may independently acquire the same information, engage in the same interactions, and enjoy the same benefits and services (within the same timeframe) as those without disabilities.

All existing, new, or updated District #9 web content produced by Vernon Elementary or provided by third-party developers, will conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Level AA conformance, or updated equivalents. We will evaluate and review published material at least once per quarter to ensure it maintains conformity. Any non-conforming webpages will be corrected in a timely manner.

Concerns

    Concerns, Complaints, and Grievances

In conjunction with our Governing Board, our Superintendent, has established procedures whereby students, parents, and members of the public may present a complaint regarding a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 and Title II related to the accessibility of any official District web presence.

If you wish to submit a complaint or grievance, please contact a school administrator directly. While an initial complaint or grievance should be made in writing using our Website Accessibility Complaint/Request Form, a verbal complaint or grievance will also be heard and addressed as soon a possible.
