As a parent of a student attending a Title I school, you have the right to request and receive, in a timely manner, information regarding the professional qualifications of your child’s teacher(s). Specifically, you may request the following:* Whether the teacher has met state certification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subjects he or she teaches.

• Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status that waives state qualifications.
• The teacher’s degree(s), major(s), and any graduate certification or degree held.
• Whether your child is receiving services from paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.
