On days when school is canceled due to inclement weather or other emergencies, Vernon Elementary School District will reduce learning disruptions by implementing Remote Learning Days. These days allow students and educators to continue learning beyond the classroom, helping students apply their skills and knowledge to real-world situations. This approach also ensures that missed days do not need to be made up in the spring or summer.

On Remote Learning Days, the District will notify parents and guardians through automated phone calls, text messages, app notifications, and posts on our Facebook page.

We are currently working to make these learning options available through our website and that page is under construction. For now, your child's teachers will communicate expectations for Remote Learning Days through their class communication channels.
